Macbeth

I often think about these words from Shakespeare so it shouldn't surprise me how often I see them referred to in other contexts.  You can always depend on Shakespeare to produce those timeless phrases which other writers rely on.

Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player 
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, 
And then is heard no more. It is a tale 
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, 
Signifying nothing.
